Stainless Steel Welded/ERW Tubes

Production characteristics of stainless steel welded tube & pipe :

Light production equipment, low investment, fast construction speed, simple welding method, wide product specification range, high dimensional accuracy, small wall thickness deviation, smooth surface and high yield rate. In the case of mass production, the cost of welded pipe is more than 20% lower than that of seamless pipe. In recent years, the “welding-cold rolling” process adopted in Kshipra to produce stainless steel tubes is to use cold-rolled coils to slit and shape according to the specifications, weld them into tubes by multi-gun argon arc welding machine and the product quality is significantly improved. Therefore, the advantages of replacing stainless steel seamless pipes with stainless steel welded pipes are becoming more and more obvious.

Advantages of stainless steel welded tube & pipe production :

First of all, in the production process of stainless steel welded pipe, the pipe body will be evenly squeezed, and then after online bright solid annealing, the surface becomes very smooth, and the smooth surface is not easy to scale, with anti-scaling Features. This is both conducive to heat dissipation and does not require frequent cleaning, saving time, effort and money. Secondly, the welded pipe is a deep-processed product of the plate, and its advantage of uniform wall thickness is unparalleled. At the same time, it can be arbitrarily sized, with high accuracy. Thirdly, the stainless steel material has the characteristics of corrosion resistance and long service life.

Bead Rolling

This machine is designed to flatten the inner and outer weld seams of stainless steel welded pipes online, using a pair of rolling dies that compress the raised seam area up to 30 times per minute. Through this repeated rolling process, the weld protrusion is eliminated, ensuring a smooth transition between the weld seam and the base material. This not only improves the appearance but also significantly increases weld density.

The primary goal is to meet hygienic standards. While outer weld seams can be treated via polishing, inner seams are more difficult to reach and tend to have gaps that harbor contaminants or residue buildup—especially in applications involving liquids. The flattening machine ensures a seamless-like inner weld that is smooth and clean, ideal for sanitary-grade pipes.

Application Fields
The weld seam flattening machine is widely used in:

Food, pharmaceutical, and hygiene industries, where the internal surface of pipes must be smooth and clean to prevent microbial growth and allow easy cleaning.

Heat exchangers in power generation (thermal and nuclear), which require smooth inner walls to prevent scale buildup and improve cleaning efficiency.

Petroleum refining and petrochemical pipelines, where weld seam smoothness is required to ensure the pipe has uniform performance throughout.

Semiconductor ultra-clean piping, where pipes are mirror-polished internally and then undergo electro-polishing for extreme cleanliness.
